Course introduction.
Oil palm plantations and mills generate large quantities of biomass that are frequently underused. Effective recovery can help reduce waste, recover nutrients and create value while supporting operational and environmental performance. This programme examines biomass throughout its lifecycle, from generation and handling to processing and resource recovery. Participants identify major resources, explore utilisation technologies and assess management options against technical, economic and environmental considerations. They develop a practical workplace improvement plan suited to plantation or mill operations, connecting resource efficiency with circular economy practices and long-term business resilience.
